PLEASE CHECK BACK IN THE AUTUMN FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2027-2028 APPLICATION CYCLE. )<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The China Oxford Scholarship Fund grants up to 20 awards annually with amounts up to \u00a320,000. The duration of these awards is for one academic year. All the awards are open to any subject. However, some have preferences for a particular area of study or a particular college at the University of Oxford.<\/p>\n<p><strong> China Oxford Award <\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 Open to any subject.\u00a0 Number of awards, usually about three to four, vary each year depending on applicants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hoare Family Award <\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 Preference will be given to those studying in social sciences. This Award is made possible with support from\u00a0 Alexander Hoare\u00a0 &amp; The Golden Bottle Trust.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Spirit of Hong Kong Award &#8211; <\/strong>Preference to Pharmacology, Biochemical or Medical-related research but, depending on applicants in any given year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tang Oxford Award <\/strong> &#8211; Preference is given to mainland Chinese students studying in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths)\u00a0 subjects.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Wei Oxford Award <\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 The Award is open to any subject.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Winkler Oxford Award <\/strong> &#8211; Preference will be given to those studying in the area of Medicine or Psychology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pay It Forward Award &#8211; <\/strong>\u00a0Open to any subject. The Award was established by\u00a0 former William Louey Education Foundation Oxbridge scholars.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brian Keelan Award &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong> Preference is given to\u00a0 students\u00a0 studying Western Philosophy,\u00a0 History, Theology, Classics, English Literature, and\u00a0 Medieval Studies.\u00a0 Applicants attending University College are also given preference. The Award was established in memory of Brian Keelan who studied PPE at University College, Oxford.\u00a0 The Award was established by friends and family of the late Brian Keelan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beardson Oxford Award<\/strong> &#8211; Open to any subject and available when funds allow.\u00a0 The Award is in honour of the China Oxford Scholarship Fund&#8217;s late International\u00a0 Chairman, Timothy Beardson.\u00a0 An Oxford alumnus who attended Christ Church, he founded Crosby Financial Holdings, which became Asia&#8217;s largest independent investment bank.\u00a0 He also authored two books on China, <em>The Stumbling Giant<\/em> and<em> Ageing China<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Wong Award &#8211; <\/strong>\u00a0Open to any subject.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yan Oxford Award &#8211; <\/strong>\u00a0Open to any subject.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><strong>Magdalen Award &#8211; <\/strong>Preference given to Magdalen College students or those studying\u00a0 Computer Science or Engineering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>China Oxford Honorary Awards &#8211; <\/strong>\u00a0Open to any subject. \u00a0Available to candidates in recognition to academic excellence and extra-curricular leadership.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2026-2027 ACADEMIC YEAR.
